Farther of Mine

August 20th, 2013

He has been with me thru every trial, tribulation, causality, loss and choice I have made, his grace and love for which only a father such as him can hold your hand and say follow me this way child. Even with all the twists and turns one makes thru life it is all for not. There are reasons we travel those roads. We are the vessel for which he chooses to use us to touch others, show others how we arrived where we are at this moment.

I was lost for many years but I was not alone….loneliness is something I do not feel anymore. I am clothed in his grace, mercy and love always…It is one of the most beautiful feelings knowing that you are loved unconditionally. I know this because he shows me every day, he allows me to see all things that are beautiful. He allows me to capture things people need to see but don’t on their own. He allows me the breath the fresh scent of a new day. He allows me to feel the warmth of the sun and the cold of a night. I am because he wants me to be. I am his vessel always protected by his mercy, grace and above all else love, to be shown and shared.

ASU West Fletcher Library show local Artists off

ASU West Fletcher Library show local Artists off

Despite the economy local artists express their particular ways of interpretation of what their eyes see through their unique styles in photography. Three artists, Nancy Albright, Diane Greco Lesser and Justine Cornelius have joined their originality with their creative visions working together on shared goals. Each artist has a unique style of beautiful photography that can be hung wherever desired.

Born in Jacksonville, Florida, currently residing in Arizona, Justine’s ambition and primal passion are depicted with a romantic style of photography. When she is taking her photos she is in resonance with her subject becoming one with each exposure. “Not satisfied with just another photo she wants her photos to embark on creative and spiritual energy from within to provide a creative style of photography that will project a powerful message to others”. Justine’s eyes catch sensuous lines and intricate patterns and the richness of vivid colors in her work.

Born in Queens, New York, currently residing in Arizona, Diane’s signature style of photography has an added dimension by introducing brush strokes, an element that transforms her photography into works of art. Her work has added layers of texture, and detail to the physical surface that enhances the foreground and background of each photo. By adding this element to her photography, it provides unique characteristics that distinguish her work from other photographers capturing the texture that is all around us. In her own words “It is not an option to miss a moment”.

Born in Rochester, Minnesota, currently residing in Arizona, Nancy began at an early age striking out with an Olympus 35 mm camera. First photography show was in the Rochester Art Center in Minnesota. This got her started and thirty years later she still gets excited for the perfect shot. Nancy’s focus is capturing the beauty of wildlife, landscape and is drawn to fragmented images as a passion. Through the lens of her camera, images have been developed to show the beauty of that which calms the soul.

We would like to thank Arizona State University West campus, and Margaret Rodriguez and other individuals for their support and opportunity to exhibit.

ASU West Fletcher Library Galley Showing

Local artists join passion for the Art filling the walls of
Arizona State University West Fletcher Library
for the Holidays.

Two local artists are showcasing their passion for capturing the world of nature and still life, in an exhibit at the Arizona State University's West Fletcher Library through December 31st.

Fresh from her successful Scottsdale showing of her bold up close and touchable art,
Diane Greco-Lesser has filled the library's second floor walls with thirty-five pieces of her unique artwork. As you approach each photo it appears as a hand painted acrylic on canvas, every brush stroke emphasizing the details and characteristics of her subject.

Diane Greco-Lesser remarks “I really enjoy watching people walk up to my artwork and being fascinated in whether they are looking at a photo or a painting. Art is supposed to make you think and that is the beauty in it. I take great pleasure in observing this beautiful world we live in and I try not to miss a moment. So many of us are so busy running around they don’t stop. Well I stop and capture it. My motto is “Missing the Moment is not an Option”.

There are significant moments in life that deserve to be captured, and she is passionate about capturing those moments through photography.
Diane Greco-Lesser is an original New Yorker, born and raised an Italian girl from the city and Long Island. When she visited the southwest for the first time in 200, she decided only a few years later that she needed to move from New York to a slower pace community where she can concentrate on my talents.
She considers herself a woman of many talents but photography and art have taken the forefront of the passions. “God has brought me to this place at this time so that I can enjoy the journey one moment at a time”.
What started out as "take the photo and save it for later" has become the now moment. She takes pride saying that she do not alter the original photo except to crop and focus. Each piece of artwork is an original photo taken by her, printed on canvas, gallery wrapped and signed, using clear molding gel for brush stroke and depth enhancements, making it touchable art.”
Art, like music, creates a mood. “I appreciate the beauty in life, the magic and emotion in nature and still life, in capturing a certain subject whether it is a set of old country style mail boxes, thorns on a southwest cactus, an orangutan with a baby, or a Zebra eye taken while playing pee a poo at the wildlife zoo in Litchfield Arizona.

Art inspires us to explore the beauty in life through the gifts and creative journey of the Artist. Art is a form of communication between the artist and her audience, revealing a story, detailing the experience with captured emotional moments'
